Origin and Destination – O&D-lux

OAG's O&D-lux software enables you to retrieve OD1B–U.S. Department of Transportation origin-destination traffic and fare data for U.S. domestic and international flights, including passenger, revenue, and fares by individual routing, carrier and direction, plus connection flow through hubs and gateways. With data available from the 1st quarter 2000, O&D-lux is a critical tool for determining air traffic patterns, air carrier market shares, revenues and fare information and passenger flows.

O&D-lux source data is based on a 10 percent sample of airline tickets from reporting carriers collected by the DOT's Office of Airline Information of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

Features

  • O&D-lux enables you to study macro trends or analyze traffic on a route-by-route/passenger-by-passenger basis
  • Sources of demand for air service, and how traffic flows over the available connection points, fortress hubs and international gateways, can be determined
  • Directional and seasonal demand for services to resort and leisure destinations can be analyzed

Benefits

  • Allows you to drill down to: carrier, average fare, specific fare, by route, ticketed or operating carrier and more
  • Top markets can be identified and ranked by passenger demand, total revenue and fare ranges
  • Connection markets can be identified and ranked by traffic volume, revenue and traffic flow over international gateways
  • One simple data query can let you analyze five years of trends
  • Carrier share of passengers and revenue, as well as revenues by fare class, can easily be analyzed
